Legacy Recipes Needed!
Perhaps you'll remember one of the many challenges we faced shortly after graduation was leaving the cocoon of the Academy and our launch into the cold, cruel world.
From doing our own laundry to signing leases on places to live to purchasing/arranging furniture for those places, we were faced with learning how to live in the "real" world.
One of the biggest challenges for many of us was, well, how to feed ourselves. No more Mr Archulta (except for the Sunday evening Guiseppe's pizza runs) bringing us mystery meat, strawberry mung and cold cuts (leaving the bologna for the rookies).
We can help the members of the Class of '26 transition to this next phase in their lives, as they join us in the ranks of the LBL,by providing them with recipes for quick, easy meals, which require little cooking expertise and that they they can make on their own.
The AOG has developed a website to download recipes you think newly minted, culinarily- challenged 2d Lts would be able to follow and enjoy. Please go to the button below to full out the recipe form and, if possible, add pictures. They can range from appetizers to desserts. Try to give the recipes catchy names, preferably with a connection to our class or the Academy (e.g., "Bicentennial Burgers" or "Falcon Nachos" for nachos with chicken).
We’ll gather them and create a pdf to place on their portal page for them to reference. Remember, the recipes have to be simple, without a lot of particularly exotic ingredients and that don't take too long to prepare or cook. As a bonus they'll also be added to our class's website as well.
The Legacy Recipe website is up and running and the form is ready to complete. Please join other classmates in this fun and unquestionably important project that prepare these young men and women for life in the outside.
